Hello All,

My wife is a Canadian citizen and I am on PR soon to be a citizen as well. We are working and living in Canada, Toronto .

My wife's mom had a PR when she was living in Canada in the 90's and returned to India '97 and stayed in India. In 2014 she had to travel to Canada urgently and had to apply for a visa where she received a letter after applying for visa with regards to being asked to revoke her PR in order for them to give her a general visit visa.

We now want to re apply the PR for her and wondering whether we put in a new application stating she was a PR before. She has all her documents from the past -pr, sin, drivers license etc.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue or just wanted to get your thoughts on this

Thanks in advance

to saimeet:

You absolutely should point out her previous PR status. They'll know about it anyway, not disclosing the information will only damage her chances of getting PR again.

Always be truthful when it comes to immigration.
