Topic: I140 application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

I wouldn't recommend for premium after RFE, I would rather say to keep following up with GIT team via GSD request or follow up email to file the RFE response as early as possible and wait till June 2018. If the decision doesn't come up then you can go for premium.

The extension can be filed at least 2 week prior to expiry date so that you can get the extension receipt on time. In my case extension was filed on May 25th this year while my expiry date was on June 15th, hope this helps you.

We are not sure about the decision time on RFE response, it might be done in 1 months or it might take >3 months vary on case by case. Mine RFE was responded on Dec 14th and I am still awaiting. As stated by shroh, you can still file for 1 year extension based upon your PERM approval if the perm got approved prior to 365 days based on your max out.

Topic: Job Change on I140 approved

I believe they will not provide that commitment in offer letter but you can ask them in written email separately that GC will be processed .

Topic: When can we raise SR

You can raise SR after 6 months of current processing time for respective center. For example, current processing time is 1st April 2017 for Texas center so you can raise SR for March cases only. You need to wait till the current processing time changed to 1st June 2017.

I just called help desk they said they can't provide RFE details. If something is needed from employee then they will directly contact them. They don't have any designated RFE team with any contact. Please keep me posted if u receive any update.

Topic: I-140 Regular processing time - Texas service center

This is really strange on #3 request, I have no ideas about this. I am still waiting my RFE details, how did u get this information that employer received RFE, did u try to contact Immigration team or raising GSD request?

This might be the case but it delays the process for genuine candidate as well. How long did they take to provide approval after submitting RFE response in your case.

Topic: Should I consider job offer, given my visa situation?

I second that and I have one live example. My employer used to file GC after completing 1 year but my one of colleague(later became friend) was having same problem, she had left little over 1 year on H1B. After joining she talked to our manager and Associate director about the situation and they started initiating GC process within 1-2 months.
Second reason, the new employer is spending money on you via hiring process and they won't want any employee to leave within 2 years just because of GC process so you need to take chance on that but its up to you to take decision.

Topic: I140 application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

I mean using my current employer's official email id. Actually I was having contract with my previous employer to pay Rs 2.5 Lacs if I switch to another company and I was ready to pay if they can give the experience letter in GC format (i.e. with role and responsibilities details) but they declined to provide in this format, they said they will provide standard experience letter (which will have details like joining date and current designation etc. only) so I moved without doing this.
