Topic: EB2-NIW I-485 Nebraska (any receipt date)
It usually takes 3-5 business days to get the physical card once the status becomes the card is being produced. Mine AP status did not change, but it turned out that 765 and 131 were all approved at the same time and we got the combo cards.

Topic: Feb 2017 I-485 filers
I also got an email from USICS yesterday saying they are still reviewing my case and there are no updates at this time, and this was the third one I received. So, guessing the email from USCIS is meaningless. They are unpredictable.
Category: EB2-NIW (ROW)
PD: 10/07/2016
140 approval: 12/7/2017
485 RD: 02/14/2017
485 status: Pending
The last action for 485: 04/10/2017, my 485 was transferred from TSC to NSC.
I raised two SR, and the last one was replied on 4/4/2018 indicating that "your application is currently pending and has been pre-adjudicated. Final review by an officer is dependent upon approval of the Form I-140 as well as visa availability based on your category and priority date."
My 140 was approved and PD is current, so I would think this was just a generic message.
Stay positive! Everything will be worth it at the end of the day.

Topic: Feb 2017 I-485 filers
I am still waiting for the further notice and am expecting to get a RFE for the Medical Exam. I have been waiting for almost 4 months since my 140 is approved. Just raised the second SR yesterday. There is no one who knows how USCIS processes our cases. We will see how it goes.

Topic: Feb 2017 I-485 filers
Mine is still pending, although my I-140 was approved on 12/07/2017. Based on the data available on this forum, ppl who filed their I-485 before March 2017 usually get either approval messages or RFE for Medical exam after 2-4 months of their NIW 140 approval dates. However, ppl who filed their 485 between March 2017 -Oct 2017 usually get their cases transferred after 1-3 months of the NIW 140 approval date.
But again, I do not think the processing time of USCIS is predictable as they always said each case is unique and independent and all they can do is to process them in the order received, which, to me, is ridiculous.
There is nothing we can do except waiting.

Q1: Once you submit your I-765/I-131 renewal application to USCIS, you get up to 180 days extension on your current EAD/AP combo card. As long as you have pending I-485 applications, you do not need to pay any fees for extension.
Q2: You can definitely apply renewal EAD/AP combo cards by yourself, but I am assuming your lawyer may want you to file renewal applications through their system as they may need to have records or something. It's better to talk to them before that. Good luck!

I have not received the physical card yet but guessing will get it in a couple of weeks. Yeah, once you have a pending renewal EAD/AP application, you are able to use it to work for up to 180 days but not 6 months.

I raised a service request on 01/04/2018 and got a response on 01/22/2018 saying that my case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. They ask me allowing additional time for this process to take place since they process these cases in the order received. Not surprised that it's a generic message without any updates for the process. Just FYI. Below are some info for my case.
I-140 PD: 10/07/2016.
I-140 RFE: 09/07/2017
I-140 RFE Received: 12/04/2017
I-140 Approval Date: 12/07/2017
I-485 RD: 02/14/2017 (concurrent)
I-485 Transferred: My case was transferred from TSC to NSC on 04/10/2017.
Service Request: 01/04/2018
SR response: 01/22/2018
Renewal Combo card (EAD/AP) application received: 12/22/2017
Renewal Combo card approved: 01/18/2018
I may wait a couple weeks and see how it goes. If I do not get any updates by early Feb, will call L2 or contact the congresswoman. Will keep you posted!
Good Luck to everyone! | | | |

Topic: I 485 February 2017 Filers
I submitted my I-485 on 2/14/2017 (RD) to TSC, and somehow it was then transferred to NSC on 4/10/2017. I raised a service request on 01/04/2018, and will see how it goes. Will keep you updated!

Topic: EB2-NIW I-485 Nebraska (any receipt date)
To iviajid,
It is considered as concurrently filing even if your I-140 is pending. Many people submit their I-485 a couple weeks or months later, and their priority date is the date that USCIS received their I-140 (EB2-NIW) applications. If your application is not EB2-NIW or EB1, the priority date will be a earlier date.

WHAT YOU SAID IS WELL KNOWN BY EVERYONE IN THIS FORUM. I know IT, and my attorney knows it.
These concerns have been addressed in my application, and it is also true that some people (pre-Dhanasar filers) who got RFE sent an updated information back and got approval without any problems.
Again, there is nothing about my field or nutritional science. My expertise is to investigate the mechanisms on how nutritional factors can improve certain type of chronic disease, e.g., diabetes and fatty liver.
BTW, when you said "Probably your field (Nutritional sciences) did not persuade your IO that your work is in the National Interest.", I understood you know nothing about nutritional sciences and biomedical science. It is inappropriate to judge other people's cases before you know more background about them.

Topic: EB2-NIW Nebraska (any receipt date)
Hi all,
I received the NIW RFE notice, and it states that:
1. Prong 1: The evidence does not establish my proposed endeavor has national importance.
2. Prong 3: The evidence does not show it would be beneficial to the U.S. to waive a labor certification.
I also checked some cases on this forum, officers usually request more evidence on these two prongs in the Post-Dhanasar. Are they common reasons for NIW RFE in the Post-Dhanasar? Although the petition letter and the supporting documents that I submitted have addressed these concerns, I feel like the petition letter needs to be rewrite to make it more clear and possibly I need one more independent recommendation letter to prove this. I will talk to my attorney about this, we will see how it goes.

Topic: EB2-NIW Nebraska (any receipt date)
Hi all,
Just FYI.
I received an email and a text message from USCIS on 9/7/2017 stating that they requested for more evidence. The PD for my NIW I-140 is 10/7/2016, and the USCIS said they reviewed my case on 9/6/2016. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED the RFE notice yet, but will keep you update on what they are requesting once I got it.
Thanks, | | | |

@KedAT,
There is no way you can update it. I submitted my I-140 at the early Oct/2016 to NSC, and my application is still pending.
