UK spouse visa rejected-nikah nama not registered

salaam to all,

i applied for my hubbys uk spouse visa which was rejected on the grounds that our nikah nama was not registered with the union council.
My hubby traced the union council and it happened to be they had original copies of our nikah nama but failed to register it on to their computer.
i dont know what i must do to be able to appeal and what documents il need?
the union council now say they are willing to put the data on to the computer and issues us with a letter stating that they have our nikah nama and that it is registered.
will i only need copy of my original nikah nama which is attested by the union council along with a letter confirming that my marriage is registered?

i was reading on the ministry of foreign affairs website which stated that my nikah nama can be attested ny the union council and the civil judge of our area in pakistan?
Will that be enough on the ground for submitting my appeal

Salaam

I hope you can help me to brother, i am in the same situation aswel. My wifes application was rejected on the grounds that there was no date of registration on the nikah namah. Having asked advise from two solicitors they both had previously said that this would not be an issue. However this now seems to be the case, what should i do in this situation?

PLEASE HELP!!

Which date is not on your nikah nama?just get union council to photocopy your nikah nama that they have in their records then get them to issue u with a nadra marriage certificate. U will also need a letter from union council stating your nikah has been registered with them on the dates it was and get union.council to stamp your copy of nikah nama from union council records stamp your nadra marriage certificate and this union council letter. After these have been attested by your union council take these documents to ministry foreogn affairs and get them to attest them aswell.
I hope this helps

Thank you for your reply

The date that is not on my nikah namah is the registration date, i dont know how they missed that, but Allah knows best.
Insha Allah my wife will be going tomorrow to rectify the matter and all should be well, i hope everything works out for you to sis.

I know how difficult it is, my wife is expecting our first baby and i have really wanted to be with her, to help and look after her. We need to be patient and keep our trust in Allah and all should be fine insha Allah. Allah's hikmah is greater than ours and indeed we may think something is good for us when it may not be. We have done what we could have done, now the rest is to Allah :)

I will remeber you in my duas, insha Allah. Please remeber me in yours. May Allah give your baby shifa and good health.
I will keep you posted on the outcome and let me know about yours.

Asalaamalaikum

JazakAllah for the prayers sis.

May Allay make it easy for you and may Allah protect your children and give them both good health. I cant imagine how difficult it is for you, but all i can say is to be patient. Do zikr and remember Allah, it will soften your heart and your chilldrens hearts. Insha Allah everything will work out for you.

My wife is due in the first week of October insha Allah. It will be a huge blessing if she is here with me for the birth and indeed it will only be possible through Allah's mercy.

Dear,
I have similar issue. I went to Union Council for computerized Nikkah Nama. They said we don't have your registered Nikkah nama. They said your Moulvi or Nikah registrar did not register your Nikkah with us. I married back in March 2007. Now I need NCIC of my wife with changed Name and Nadra is saying you should bring computerized Nikkah Nama. On the other hand Nikah registrar is saying I did submit copy to union council but they made mistake and union council don't give any receipt. Please guide me how can I get copy of Computerized Nikah nama. I married in Multan and living in Lahore. This is really causing spoil of time.

Thanks is advance.

How's your appeal getting on kmamood?

I've had the exact same issue. Could you please describe in detail how exactly you solved this issue?

So I know I have to get the nadra marriage registration, this will be done on Monday. The union council will then provide a letter stating that me and my mrs were married on this falana date. They will stamp but the bit I dont understand is how to get this attested by the foreign ministry office, what's the procedure? My wife is in Lahore.

Also due to the fact that my original nikah nama didnt have the reg date, will i need to send a photocopy and get a date on there again stamped by the union counsel, do I need to provide the photocopy? Also on my english translation it says date of registration: no so will i also need to get this updated too or is the nadra nikhah nama and letter enough?

Thanks

Salaam

I'm guessing you need to go to your local nadra office in Lahore and get them to issue you with a nadra marriage certificate. You will need to take your original nikah nama, your green card photocopies of your wife, you, your parents, your mrs parents photocopies. Then they should give you the nadra certificate I'm guessing. I feel for you, I had exactly the same issue as you whereby the maulvi didnt register it but my family in Pakistan are at fault for not chasing and just relying on the maulvi. May Allah make it easy for us all and have patience, inshallah we will all be with our spouses soon inshallah, just have faith in Allah

I m actually bit confused.

I am on Tier-2, and my wife is to apply for a dependant visa.
After nikkah, what should be the procedure to get nikkah nama and related documents in hand as quickly as possible?

1- Do I need both English and Urdu version nikkahnamas?
2- What does it mean by registration and endorsement by Union council? Nikkah khwan from Binori town masjid say they give union council stamp themselves?
3- If nikkah is done at her home by a nikkahkhwan from Binori Town, Karachi, could it be registered in a union council near my residence in North Nazimabad Town, Karachi? or does it have to be registered in the same union council (whatever union council is Binori town) where we got the nikkah khwan from?
4- How much time does it take to get nikkahnama registered and endorsed by union council?
5- Is Nadra nikkahnama necessary?

I would really appreciate if somebody could help and answer the question.

Thanks
