Guys, looking for some honest opinion, is it possible to change jobs in current situation? Is it worth trying to upload resume, applying n filling long application forms? Or its just waste of time because no one is hiring h1b these days? Pls share some thought on this..

Why not if your resume, skills, company and role is genuine?

If you are happy with your current employer why do you want to change for few extra bucks. The intention of current administation is very clear and they are waiting very eagerly in the form of transfers and extensions. If you are a full time employee spend mire time and do more work so that you will gain more control in various projects

I am in the process of doing it. Here is what to expect:
1. RFE during H1b transfer - There is a high probability of getting an RFE irrespective of how kosher your case is.
2. Low leverage - Employers may under ball you by showing you the Greencard perk.
3. Personally for me I fear the uncertainty of a rule change after I have transferred and before I have filed my PERM/140. There are several what-if scenarios such as the date moving rapidly or a new immigration law being enacted which may leave me high and dry since I might not have my PERM/I140 in hand.
That all being said, I am taking the risk. I hope I a doing the right thing.
