If you are not received the actual green cards after your 485 approvals and you have immediate plans on international travel,
Then you can take an infopass and get the 1 year valid GC stamp on your passport. It will be given when actual cards are delayed for some reasons like wrong postal address, deliverable to old attorney address etc.

After you receive the cards,
1. Go to the local SSN office to update your new status.
2. Get the new driving license to update your new status.
3. Inform your employer and provide your GC copies.
4. Nothing to do with your existing H1b status.
5. I-9 form will be taken care by your HR manager.

For those heading towards the SSA office - wait at least 1 month from GC approval.

In my case, I and my wife showed up 10 day’s after GRC approval. Our immigration info was NOT updated in the SSA system they use to verify everyone other than citizens by birth, or those presenting a US Passport.

In this case, they have to send your application in for a manual S.A.V.E. verification.

Let me just warn you that the manual verification route is a black hole and you would rather want to avoid it if possible. I got my social security card after two follow up trips to the SSA office (by my second trip, the immigration system was updated with my info, so the officer just re-did a new application and I got the unrestricted card in a week).

My wife’s unrestricted card is still nowhere to be found - 2 months later.

I was told this applies even after naturalization.

I presume you are following the threads at "EB3 I 2007 PDs share here", as most activity is happening there.

I had posted the below there. So please check your Submitted Date on the DHS website and see if the below makes sense. So if your submitted date is in late 2007, then that would explain why yours is getting delayed.
__________________________________________________________________________
I feel if all background check and other stuff is good, then they first order it by priority date and if the date is current and ready for adjudication, then they look at submitted date and then stack it in the order it was received by submitted date. Respective officer then goes one by one based on his availability and workload. This is my take after having observed how my case was adjudicated. As you notice my priority date is nov 2006, however submitted date was oct 2007, so im one of the last ones from 2006 to get cleared while 2007 pd's were already getting greened in full swing because their submitted date was earlier than mine.

If your PD is current and submitted/notice date falls in September/October 2007 and have a soft update in the past 2 months, then by end of month you will be through. Good wishes.
