Received my missing interview notice in mail today. USPS returned it back to USCIS because of an incorrect recipient address.. Well, seems like the sender's fault.
BTW, tried to schedule an infopass in Philadelphia - seems like it's almost impossible.. Woke up at 3-4 am last Thursday and Friday - available time slots were everywhere around, except of the Philadelphia FO.. love it..

Thank you all for your support!

To everyone in this forum,

Please do not give free advise to anyone who is not ready to add their case details. If you are not adding your case details means you are not ready to help others. Then why are you looking for advise from others ? Please add your case details before asking any help from others. It will help other people waiting in line to understand the trends.

I second that completely. This is a mutual cooperation forum and unless you add your case details in the forum, no more free advise should be provided. I would encourage all to comply with that please, it helps everyone...

Random question, does EAD card act as both EAD and AP? I received my EAD card with the comment that it acts as AP as well. Wanted to make sure that I can travel with my EAD card? Thanks.

Hello,

Does anyone knows using EAD to get SSN will void H1B status or H4 status?. I have valid H1B filed for extension and still pending. Would like to get SSN for kid and spouse. Does anyone have idea about it. By the way I received my EAD on April 15 with AP approved. NSC, RD OCT 30, 2017 and transferred already to office that has jurisdiction. Thanks in advance....

Good one! I wish you the best with the RFE and congratulations in advance. This crazy ordeal is almost over.

My case was transferred to NBC on Match 8th and I got a status update 3 days ago that my interview (as well as my dependent's) has been scheduled but we haven't received the letter yet so no clue about the interview date. Field office is Detroit.

I had my interview on Friday (4/20). It was a good experience. My application has been approved and card is in production. Thank you all for the supportive messages and best wishes to those who are in the waiting game! Keep being patient and you will get there soon!

Interview experience:
My interview was at 8:40am in Fairfax (VA) office. If you go there, pass the check-in counter in the 1st floor. It's not for scheduled interviews. You should directly take elevator to the 2nd floor and do check-in there. He will take only the first page of the interview notice and ask you to have a seat and wait. I was there at 8am. An officer called my name at 8:20am. I took oath and then he asked my name, address, employer. Then he went through yes/no questions in the I-485 form. Once questions were done, he took an empty piece of paper and started asking open questions. Where did you study, what degree, when did you come to the US, which city, which school (I came as a student), what did you do after school, when did you get your OPT, when did you get your H1B. He didn't ask for any documents. I asked if I should give him any documents. He asked me what I have. I showed a few. He took employer verification letter and recent pay stubs. Then he said he is fine with the application and he will approve it probably in the same day. I got "Card in Production" status update 1 hour after the interview! It was a good experience. Best luck to all! Feel free to ask any questions you may have
