I filed on September 16, 2014 and did FP November 7, 2014. Status says - "case is in line" since December. I am hearing it is too slow in Houston office. Please add your status.

Going to India in December. Applied at the end of February. Hopefully I can complete everything before my travel. As I have to cancel my Indian passport before obtaining visa which typically takes 3-4 weeks after I get us passport. What you guys think?

Looks like it's about an 8-month wait from application to interview. So maybe a couple of more months before yours. I just sent mine on Monday. With summer vacations coming, mine will be an even longer wait.

Houston, apparently, is the king of N-400 processing time.

It took me 9 months and 10 days from filing to Oath Ceremony. Be patient and good luck.

Interviewer told me that my oath ceremony will be on May 13th.

When do I get the citizenship certificate? How long it takes to get the passport?

Hello,
You will get your certificate at the ceremony. I think passport takes between 6 and 8 weeks to get after application but I am not sure, I have not applied for it.

They say that passport take 6-8 weeks however they actually process it in 2 weeks. if you can't wait 2 weeks they you can pay a fee and get it done in the same day.

My poor friend, I think the delay is because of your nationality :(

I filed on Dec 22, 2014, as sama as you, the online status is still shown "Case was received", even though I have done the FP :(

you are not alone, now I am waiting for the interview notice.

Hi Yoyo !

Sorry to read this. I contcted you first because I was wondering if you have tried to go to the field office with infopass to enquiry about your case since it is klargely more than 60 days since last action was taken on your case or, if you have contacted the national service center or, if you have taken any other action and waht the outcome(s) was. I have no quality to advice you but I think you should at least enquiry because your case seems stucked somewhere.

My case is "under supervisor review" since the interview on 05/19. The IO was... ice cold. She gave me English and Civic tests, which I passed, but she kept looking at my birth certificate which is as you know not an evidence to be attached to the N400 app. She then looked into my green card and green card adjustement status cases and could not identify the document despite the fact that I have been able to recognize the document over the desk while she was browsing through the cases papers. When I told her so she said that I was not supposed to look at my cases (!). She even admitted that she did not study my N400 app and handed me the form N652 reading that " A decision cannot be made". One detail, I was wearing a pair of blue jeans that day and she made a mean mention about it... I shall wait until next week for 60 days since interview and enquiry at the filed office and with the phone.

I hope it will go ok for you.

I had my fingerprints done 5/19. The online status still says "Case was Received." It makes me worried that the status has not changed after almost two months.

I am a Houston, TX resident; filed my N400 on January 6th, 2016, my fingerprints were taken and I'm waiting for the interview to be scheduled; If you filed about the same time and you live in Houston, share your journey.

Today is my 9-month anniversary of n400 filing, and still nothing is happening to my case since bios in July 2015. I tried many phone call to the customer service, three Service Requests, two infopasses and even contacted a Congressman so far. None of these answered why my case is being delayed over normal processing time in Houston field office.
